The wonderful world of intercession and finances!

Every Monday all the overseas staff get together to do a class learning on how to become fully equipped to be a missionary in developing nations. It has been great. I am learning a lot about what it looks like to be a missionary and how to refine my ways. Today we talked about intercession. Back when the people left Egypt they wandered for 40 years because they had disbelief in God. God is wanting us to choose to believe Him always. So when you allow that doubt to creep in, it puts a barrier between you and God. It was so good. I really liked about how our speaker talked about the woman who was bleeding for a long time non stop and no one could help her. So with her faith she rushed through the crowd to touch the corner of Jesus' robe to be healed from this sickness. Jesus at that moment knew that someone touched him with 100% faith because he felt the power leave him to heal her. When He saw it was this woman, he said you are healed by your faith. I want to have that faith in Jesus. I want to break through the crowd and choose to touch Him. With that faith we can go to intercession and know that God hears our prayers. He is even wanting to answer them. God sent Jesus not only to die on the cross for our sins, but to also show us how to live. While Jesus was on this earth, he showed us how to intercede and to act. Jesus walked this earth with rest in His soul. It all begins with hearing God's voice.

Jesus says in Matthew 11: 28-30:
"Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Yeah, I love this scripture. Jesus walked around with rest in His soul!! Then our speaker asked us, "Whose burden are you carrying, Jesus' or yours?" I definitely want to be carrying Jesus' and not mine. And all I have to do is give it to Jesus and He will give me His rest! AMEN!!!!

In intercession, God wants to work through me. He gave me the authority and needs me to use it. God gave us the master keys! What are you going to do with them? I want to use them especially for the pregnant women in developing nations and against Human sex trafficking. God works through us because He VALUES me!!!! I need to be completely submitted to God so that He can speak to me in the moments and intercede right then and there. I am not there yet, but I am wanting to work on that. I am working on that.

God gave us His word. He says that it is sharper than a two edged sword. We need to use it, it is our offensive weapon. Take up your authority when you sense the enemy attacking wherever you are, whenever it happens.

A quote that I got today in my class was this:

"God is calling you to the battle, not bringing the battle to you!"
-Cliff W.
What I got out of the class today is that I have to choose to go after what God has called me to. He won't bring the battle to me. I have to go to the battle. Especially in my time of intercession. We do our bits, and God does miracles!

So good! There was more, but I will save that for another day when I have processed it more. This is all that I have processed so far. I am really loving it. I hope you get something out of it too. Use it for strengthening and growing God's Kingdom.

This week our school finances our due. As a school we only need like $18,000 AUD. At the beginning of our calculations of what we needed it came to like $250,000 AUD for everything and now we are only needing $18,000 AUD!!! God is so good. I was needing a couple of weeks ago $4200 AUD and now I only need $2977AUD because I have some supporters and they found a cheaper plane ticket!!! Praise Jesus for your provisions! I am still needing this finance, but I know it is in God's hands and I have less than 24 hours to see it come in! Will you take part in helping me see the finances in so that we can serve the mothers/babies in Zambia??????
