This last week has had its ups and downs. The beginning of the week was okay, but I had to do a lot of homework over my spring break. I loved the stuff I had to do, because I got to meet with two people and have an interview with them for my research paper in English 102. I got to know them a little more. They were really open with me too. I really liked that.
Then my dad came into town! That was a lot of fun! He is starting the Focus process. It was great being able to talk to him more about my process and watching his process. While watching him go through it, it brought up a lot of memories of my own process. It also brought new things to light about it. I also got to find out more about my dad's mom. I thought she smoked a lot the last four days she was with us. And actually, she smoked only two times. Once when she arrived in Texas and talked with my brother Cody. The other time was the last day and it was with my mom and I. I was actually talking a lot with her. I definitely do not remember that. It also happened when I was nine years old.
This last weekend was very stressful for me and I got to put in my two week notice at the Grove Hotel. I got an offer I could not turn away and it allows me to free up some time to do some fundraising for my mission trip in July. I was so relieved from this job that I was actually crying from the relief. I know God is guiding my foot steps, because he is allowing me more time to make relationships with people and allow God to bless me through my friendships. I have no idea how God will do this, but I know he is in control. I am very excited to see how he will reveal it to me.
If you could pray that I would be diligent in my friendships and following through with making appointments to meet with people that would be great. Also, if you could pray that God would move people's hearts to give towards this calling and that the people will obey to what God asks them to do.
